staying focused on Frisco

Frisco has been my home for 20 years, and I’m proud to have raised my family in our welcoming, vibrant, and safe community. As our city grows and evolves, we need thoughtful, experienced leadership that balances both progress and preservation, putting Frisco first. My focus remains on championing initiatives that maximize our potential while minimizing the impact to our taxpayers, ensuring our long-term success and sustainability. My track record reflects a dedication to listening, learning, and leading with authenticity and compassion. I have consistently shown up, worked hard, and represented you locally, regionally, and nationally. I would be honored to continue serving you on Frisco City Council. Together, we can truly make Frisco the best place to live, work, play, and stay!

WHY Tammy?

Spirit of Frisco 2.jpg

Frisco is a diverse and dynamic city, and my unique background as a public school teacher, nonprofit executive, and woman in business prepared me to work successfully with students to CEOs and everyone in between. Whether it's welcoming C-Suite executives from our first Fortune 100 company or teaching young Cub Scouts about city government, I possess the leadership skills necessary to effectively represent Frisco in a variety of environments.

Named the "Spirit of Frisco" by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and "Spirit of Collaboration" by the Junior League of Collin County, I exemplify a true passion for people, their stories, and connecting the dots to solve problems together. I believe relationships are the key to getting things done, and there's always a way to get to "yes."

As a new empty nester, I have the time, energy, and heart for service required to fulfill the demanding schedule of the volunteer City Council role. Since 2022, I have maintained a perfect attendance record at all City Council meetings and regularly engage with residents, business owners, and students who are shaping our city’s future. My passion is serving Frisco, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to give back to our great city!

After 20 years of living in Frisco as a Chicago transplant, I am thankful to have raised our family in the best place to live, work and play. I believe the biggest challenge Frisco faces is how to curate our city to be the best place to stay.

We are at a point in Frisco’s maturation where half of the City Council Top 10 Priorities are now focused on improving quality of life:

  • Grand Park

  • The Rail District

  • Center for the Arts

  • Mobility and Transportation

  • Technology and Innovation

All of these encompass greater issues that include traffic, infrastructure, density, public safety, and more. This next stage of Frisco’s development and identity will require big-picture thinking, a collaborative “can-do” spirit, and an overall guiding strategy that looks at what is best for Frisco 20 years from now, not just today. With my institutional knowledge and unwavering dedication to creating a well-rounded city, I’m ready to build upon our existing assets and take Frisco to the next level.

Public service is not about power and position—it’s about the people. Being on the City Council means I work for you, the citizens of Frisco. My commitment is to listen, to care and to help solve the issues that are your pain points. Although I have areas of expertise that I bring to the table, I have engaged field experts and our talented residents to help inform and make data-driven decisions. This is your city, and I am here to represent you. I am just a phone call and email away!

As your City Councilwoman, I am committed to shining a spotlight on our multifaceted community, cultivating new leaders, engaging our diverse population, featuring local businesses and working together to meet the challenges ahead.

Above all, our people are our most important asset, and to that end, I ask that our residents each find 10 new people this year to get civically involved and registered to vote. Town halls, committees, social media posts and placements on boards are great ways to share your ideas, but ultimately, your vote possesses the most power. We need to exponentially increase voter participation in all the diverse pockets of our city, and that’s going to take an intentional effort by all our residents, one conversation at a time.

As a proud member of Frisco’s Indian community, I want to share my personal experience with Tammy Meinershagen and why I wholeheartedly support her
re-election.

When our community began planning the Ganesh Festival at Lexington Parks, we didn’t know where to start. We wanted to create this meaningful tradition in a public space, but the logistics were overwhelming — permits, approvals, and coordination with the City.

That’s when we reached out to Tammy. Not only did she respond quickly, but she immediately connected us with the right people, helped navigate the process, and stayed involved every step of the way. Because of her help, we were able to host our successful Ganesh Festival in Lexington Parks — an event that brought hundreds of families together to celebrate culture, community, and tradition.

But what meant the most to us? Tammy didn’t just help behind the scenes — she showed up. Even though it was her birthday weekend, she made time to attend the festival and support our community. She was also the only council member who came. That speaks volumes about who she is.

Tammy is accessible, responsive, and genuinely cares about all the cultures that make Frisco so special. Her actions are proof of her commitment to serving others. We are so grateful for her support, and our community is better because of her leadership. She has our family’s votes, and we encourage you to vote for Tammy on Saturday June 7!
